9:00 Warm-up and Technique Session with John Mueller (Harris Concert Hall)
 
Content includes tips on developing a daily warm-up routine; slide technique, range building and articulation. Group exercise will be demonstrated. Appropriate for Junior High students and above. Bring your trombone and play along!
10:00 Clinic: Memphis Symphony Trombone Section (Harris Concert Hall)
 
With over 6 decades of orchestra experience to their credit, Greg Luscombe, Mark Vail and Wes Lebo will explain the techniques required to play in a symphony orchestra trombone section from the professionals in the Memphis Symphony! Select students will participate.
11:30 Concert: U. of Memphis Slide Society (Harris Concert Hall)
 
The U. of Memphis’ student trombone ensemble will perform a variety of works under the direction of Dr. John Mueller, U. of Memphis Assoc. Professor of Trombone and Euphonium
1:30 Masterclass with Jessica Buzbee (Harris Concert Hall)
 
Select students will play for International soloist Jessica Buzbee.
3:00 Trombone Choir Reading Session (Harris Concert Hall)
 
This is an open to reading session of trombone choir music that is open to all trombonists of any level (Junior High - Professional). Don’t be shy. Bring your Trombone and jump right in!
4:30 Discussion: Music after High School (Room 113, Music Bldg.)
 
An open discussion of music opportunities that are available after high school. Includes music in college regardless of major and community bands
5:30 Recital: Jessica Buzbee (Harris Concert Hall)
 
Award winning international trombone soloist Jessica Buzbee performs works from three centuries.
